Howdy Homemade, the staple Dallas ice cream shop that primarily hires employees with special needs no doubt took a huge hit during the pandemic.
However, through crowdfunding and donations, the shop appears to have bounced back in full, and has now announced their intentions to expand nationally!
Owner Tom Landis says the shop will be opening five franchise shops in El Paso, McAllen, Houston, Las Cruces, New Mexico, and Ashville, North Carolina. And they won't be stopping there, as he tells NBC DFW, "That's not it though. We currently have more than 140 people interested in franchising as well."
