A company that was based in Carson, California has relocated to McKinney.
HBCU Hub is responsible for a mobile phone app that connects students to recruiters at historically-black colleges and universities. The company helps colleges manage their data to make better decisions and to make sure applications don't get lost in the shuffle.
The company's founder says the move to Texas puts them closer to the historically-black colleges and universities that use their service.
The new offices for HBCU Hub are at Craig Ranch in McKinney. The move was made possible by a grant from the McKinney Economic Development Corporation's Innovation Fund.
