For many, the ideal summer vacation is going to a beach, and while there are plenty of options for that in Texas, apparently the best summer destination in the state is right here in DFW.
While North Texas isn’t near an ocean, a new report recently named a metroplex resort as the best in Texas. In fact, three DFW resorts made the list overall, with each landing in the top 15.
US News and World Report recently unveiled their list of the best resorts in Texas.
According to CW33, at the top of the list was the Rosewood Mansion on Turtle Creek in Dallas. Rounding out the top five was the Commodore Perry Estate, Auberge Resorts Collection in Austin, the Hyatt Regency Hill Country Resort and Spa in San Antonio, the JW Marriott San Antoni Hill Country Resort & Spa in San Antonio and The Houstonian Hotel, Club & Spa in Houston.
As for DFW, two other getaways made the list with the Gaylord Texan Resort & Convention Center in Grapevine coming in at number 10 and the Westin Dallas Stonebriar Golf Resort & Spa in Frisco at 11.
While DFW may not be at the top of the minds of many as a vacation destination, clearly there is plenty here for people to enjoy.
