New barbecue restaurant that only serves ribs to open in Fort Worth

A new barbecue restaurant will be setting up shop next month.  That news itself isn’t that spectacular; barbecue restaurants open in Texas all the time.

However, this one specializes in one menu item and will sell it exclusively: ribs.

Ribbee’s comes from the same pitmasters from Goldee’s Barbecue, named the “best new barbecue joint in D-FW” in 2021 by the Dallas Morning News and “the best in the state” by Texas Monthly that same year.

Co-owner Jonny White told the Dallas Morning News that Ribbee’s will only serve three items: baby back pork ribs, french fries, and macaroni and cheese.  And that’s it.  White described Ribbee’s as “like a Wingstop and a [Raising] Cane’s, combined,” but for ribs.

Ribbee’s plan to sell five varieties of ribs. The tentative menu currently includes dry-rub, sweet, spicy, and tangy ribs, with the fifth option being a rotating rub or sauce, essentially whatever White and the other owners feel like making.
