A new statewide program is giving free childcare for up to a year for residents who work in the service industry.

The program called Child Care Relief Funding (CCRF) by the Texas Workforce Commission is available to parents and legal guardians who work part time or full time in the service industry including hotels, restaurants, gyms, movie theaters, retail and grocery stores.

There are certain criteria to quality including making less than $64,000 and working at least 25 hours a week for a single parent household and a 50 hour workweek for a two parent household.

You may be eligible for these funds even if you applied for the CCRF in 2021. The deadline to apply is March 31st.
