Spring break is already underway for many in DFW, with vacation time coming for others in the next few weeks. Of course, that means many have already planned out their trips for this year, but it’s never too early to start thinking about next year.

Luckily there is a new study that found the top spring break travel destinations for DFW, so North Texans will know where to go to feel right at home.

Vacation rental specialist Key Data recently unveiled the results of their study to find DFW’s top spring break travel destinations. The rankings were determined based on a number of factors such as: the average nightly rate, the number of nights sold, the total accommodation cost, and the length of stay by travelers from DFW who made bookings in the month of March.

According to Dallas Culture Map, the study found the top destination was Mt.
Crested Butte, Colorado.

Overall, Colorado took four of the top five positions with Breckenridge, Steamboat Springs, and Mountain Village coming in at numbers three, four and five. The only non-Colorado city on the list was Watercolor, Florida at number two. Clearly, most North Texans are fans of getting a little bit more cold weather during spring break before the summer heat hits.
