Going on an adventure usually means traveling far away, but luckily for those in DFW there’s now a way to scratch that itch right in our own backyard.
The city of Arlington’s parks and recreation department recently teamed up with Go Ape, a national zipline and adventure park company, to build two new high-flying zipline and ropes courses at River Legacy Park East. The courses are now open for all the fun and adventure North Texas can handle.
On March 3, Go Ape Zipline and Adventure Park launched their second DFW location. There are two courses at the Arlington park: the Treetop Adventure and Treetop Journey. According to Dallas Culture Map, the Treetop Adventure is a three hour high-ropes course with eagle-eye views of the park and Trinity River.
The Treetop Journey is a shorter, at-your-own-pace experience. There is also a range for outdoor axe-throwing for those that prefer to stay on ground level. With this park, adventure is only a short journey away.
