Only two Major League Baseball players have ever come out of Alvin, Texas. One of them is Hall-of-Famer Nolan Ryan and the other was just signed by the Rangers.
Eleven-year MLB veteran Nathan Eovaldi passed his physical yesterday and then his signing was announced by the team.
Eovaldi has played for five teams and has been with the Red Sox for the past five seasons. In 2021, he made the American League All-Star team and finished fourth in that season's Cy Young voting.
Rangers observers predict Eovaldi will compete for a middle-of-the-rotation spot.
