You might need a co-signer to purchase a new home in North Texas.

According to Compass’ 2023 Ultra-luxury report, the sale of homes worth $10 million or more doubled in Dallas-Fort Worth last year.

When you look at the numbers, it doubled from four luxury homes sold in 2022 to eight, but that’s still the third-highest percent increase for a region across the country.

According to the report, those eight sales add up to a combined $104.1 million, and excludes commercial, land and multiunit properties.

And we can expect the sale of luxury homes to rise again this year.  Christine Danuser of Compass’ Danuser Rado Group says that things are already picking up for 2024.

“It feels like what would be our traditional spring market has started a little early this year,” she said.  “I would anticipate that, especially in spring and hopefully for the rest of the year, there’s going to be a good level of activity.”
