The holidays have officially arrived at Starbucks. Today is the chain's annual Red Cup Day on which they roll out their reusable holiday cups.
But for thousands of Starbucks workers around the country it's a Red Cup rebellion.
Starbucks Workers United says they'll be staging a one-day strike designed to pressure Starbucks to bargain a contract with its unionized stores.
Specifically, they're demanding that the company improve its staffing and scheduling, especially on high-volume days like today.
Hundreds of stores will be impacted today including five here in North Texas, two in Dallas, two in Denton, and one in Forest Hill.
