Year ending gas prices in Texas average $2.80 for regular. AAA Texas says that's up 17 cents from a week ago but it's down almost a dime from the beginning of the year.

The national average is 38 cents higher at $3.18. In North Texas, the four counties of Tarrant, Dallas, Collin and Denton are either $2.82 or $2.83.

Meanwhile, West Texas Intermediate ends 2022 just below $80. That's about two dollars lower than the first of the year but it's way down from the $123.70 spike we saw on March 7th.
