Texas State wasn't messing around in its first-ever bowl game.
The Texas State Bobcats whipped Rice University 45-21 in the First Responder Bowl at SMU's Ford Stadium in Dallas.
And the fans...they filled up the stadium and then drank it dry.
The announced attendance was 26,542 which is more than SMU drew for any home game this year, and reports say the stadium concession stands ran out of beer early in the third quarter, but only on the Texas State side.
The Rice fans still had plenty on their side.
