Yellowstone's creator Taylor Sheridan is going after one of the stars of his show in a court of law, and it has nothing to do with the show. It's all about a logo.
Sheridan owns a 1,000 acre ranch called "Bosque Ranch' near Weatherford, in Parker County. It's also the name of Sheridan's production company.
Yellowstone actor actor Cole Hauser, who plays the popular character 'Rip Wheeler' just started a new coffee company in San Angelo, called "Free Rein".
Sheridan is suing, because he says Hauser's logo for the coffee company is too similar to the logo for the ranch. They both have letters that overlap.
The ranch has a B on top of an R. The coffee company has an F over top of the R.
Sheridan, who also has a partnership with coffee company Community Coffee, says it's trademark infringement, unfair competition, and false advertising.
