There's a new United Way initiative in Southern Dallas County kicking off this summer, designed to help bridge the COVID learning gap. It’s called Heal, Play, Learn and is funded by the Texas Instruments Foundation.
After more than a year of pandemic-related learning disruptions and limited in-person activities, the program for Cedar Hill and DeSoto ISDs aims to bolster students’ social emotional wellness, their physical health and engagement with arts and sciences.
