An Irving murder victim has now been identified.
On Sunday morning, police were called to what they at first believed was a crash at the Hyde Park Apartments on North MacArthur in Las Colinas.
Officers report they found Devirea Smith on the ground outside his car. But he was not killed by the crash, it turned out he had been shot.
He was rushed to Baylor Grapevine where he was pronounced dead. Detectives don't know who shot Smith, or why.
