One woman is dead after a fatal auto-pedestrian collision that occurred late Tuesday night on I-20 near Matlock Road.
Arlington police responded around 11:33 p.m. Tuesday and found an unresponsive woman in the roadway along with the two cars involved in the crash, her Mustang and a Toyota.
Investigation is still ongoing but officials determined so far that the woman exited her Mustang after being stalled in traffic. Then the Toyota car hit both her and her vehicle.
The driver of the Toyota was sent to the hospital but had no life-threatening injuries. No charges have been filed yet.
Westbound lanes of I-20 were closed for about four hours afterward.
The Tarrant County Medical Examiner's Office will release the woman's identity later on.
