A woman was injured in a drive-by shooting in Fort Worth early Thursday morning and the gunman is still on the run, police say.
Fort Worth police said early this morning the woman and some others were talking in the parking lot of The Campbell apartment complex just off Interstate 30 near Sandy Lane.
Suddenly, a car drove past and someone inside opened fire, striking the woman in the lower leg, police said. The car sped off and the shooter got away.
The woman who was struck did not require a trip to the hospital. Even so, with the number of people in the parking lot and the proximity of apartments, police said it could have been much worse.
