Fort Worth police say a chase that started in Euless overnight ended with the suspects hitting and killing an innocent woman. Euless police tried to stop a car for a traffic violation just before midnight.
Instead of stopping, police say the car sped off down Trinity Boulevard. At the intersection of Euless Main, police say the car ran a red light and hit another car in the intersection.
The Fort Worth Fire Department and MedStar responded, but a woman in the other car died at the scene.
Police say the driver of the car they had tried to stop ran off but was caught nearby. They say a passenger was hurt and stayed in the car.
Both the suspect and passenger were taken to the hospital. Fort Worth police are investigating the crash; Euless police will take the driver into custody for evading arrest or detention.
The identity of the woman who was killed had not been released Wednesday morning.
