A 30-year-old man is dead after a shooting in North Arlington late Tuesday night, police say.
The incident happened in the 2900 block of Forest Hollow Lane -- just west of Highway 360 and north of Carrier Parkway -- at 11:08 p.m., Arlington police said.
Police said a woman reported that one of her relatives shot the father of her children.
The gunman stayed at the scene and told officers he intervened to stop the 30-year-old from strangling the woman and to protect himself, police said.
The 30-year-old man was taken to an area hospital, where he was pronounced dead, police said. No arrests had been made in connection to the incident as of Thursday.
