Update: The McKinney Fire Department said that residents are now allowed to return to their homes. The gas leak has been capped, and Oncor said the power is being restored.
More than a dozen homes in McKinney were evacuated Thursday afternoon because of a gas leak. The McKinney Fire Department announced that Oncor had cut power off to four blocks in the area of Anthony, Wilson, Moore, and Gough. That's southeast of Downtown.
It was a total of 14 homes that were affected.
