A 15-year-old boy was taken into custody Monday morning after allegedly shooting and injuring his father at a Plano home, police said.
Plano police said dispatchers received a call around 8:25 a.m. reporting a shooting in the 4500 block of Sandy Water Lane. The caller, identified as the victim, told authorities he had been shot by his son.
Officers arrived at the home and detained the teen. The victim was taken to a hospital; his condition was not immediately known.
Police said there is no ongoing threat to the public. The investigation remains ongoing.
