FRISCO(1080 KRLD)- The Frisco Fire Department tells us about 2,500 people went without power in the area of the Star and Keurig Dr Pepper headquarters because an underground electrical transformer somehow caught fire.

The fire department was called out to put out a grass fire on Legacy Drive -and discovered the transformer. Because of the electrical fire crews had to rescue people trapped in elevators at two buildings in the area.

Oncor crews headed there to make repairs around 3 p.m. and about an hour later Oncor reported nearly all of the 2,500 customers affected had been restored to power.
