
Authorities in DeSoto are investigating the cause of a house fire that claimed two lives Tuesday afternoon.
The fire broke out at a home on Canyon Ridge Drive, with firefighters receiving the call around 2:30 p.m., according to city officials. Upon arrival, the flames were so intense that crews were unable to enter the house.
Firefighters from neighboring Duncanville assisted in containing the blaze, preventing it from spreading to nearby homes. Officials confirmed that no additional structures were damaged, and no other residents were displaced.
The identities of the victims have not been released, and the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
