Four teens were arrested Friday in connection to online threats made against Huffines Middle School in Lewisville, police say.

The teens made posts with the intention of getting out of going to school on Friday, Lewisville police said. Police added the posts were duplicates of other threatening posts that law enforcement has seen around the state in recent weeks.

Police said all four teens were charged with making a terroristic threat. Their names were not released because they are minors.

Police asked parents to have conversations with their children about the consequences of making threats like this, adding the department will not hesitate to arrest and charge individuals in connection to them.
