5 arrested in Fort Worth drive-by shooting that injured 6 people

Fort Worth Police say five men are behind bars in connection with a drive-by shooting on Las Vegas Trail on May 1. Six people were injured in the shooting, including four children. The youngest was just 3 years old.

Police said the incident was a targeted shooting involving an individual who lived near the apartment that was hit - along with one of the shooting suspects.


Three of the suspects are from Fort Worth. Two are from Dallas. They're all between 17 and 20 years old.

The suspects are 17-year-old Jamal Piper, 18-year-old Hayden Bates-Vellmure, 20-year-old Jordan Elijah Jackson, 18-year-old Alan Gilbert, and 19-year-old Patrick Biscoe.

Each person is charged with six counts of aggravated assault causing serious bodily injury - discharge of a firearm from a motor vehicle, plus one count of deadly conduct - discharge of a firearm at a habitation.
