Testimony is underway in a Dallas County trial that has to do with murder and abortion.
23-year old Harold Thompson is on trial for the May 10th, 2023 murder of his girlfriend, 26-year-old Gabriella Gonzalez. They had only been dating for four months, but in that time Gonzalez became pregnant.
She didn't want the child. Prosecutors say Gonzalez had recently returned from Colorado where she got an abortion, and that Thompson was the father of the child and did not want the abortion.
Court records say the two had been fighting before Thompson pulled a gun and fired a shot. There had been a prior felony case against Thompson for attacking Gonzalez.
