The Academy of Country Music Awards will be held in Frisco for the second straight year on Thursday night.
The awards moved to The Star last year and city officials said it had a $31 million impact on the economy and generated $325,000 in additional sales tax revenue.
The event consists of much more than the awards show. It features the ACM Country Kickoff, which includes festivities all over The Star complex in Frisco.
