Dallas (1080 KRLD) - The Dallas Police Department has announced that they will be holding an 'Active Shooter Training' event this week. The event aims to teach individuals, businesses or safety teams how to deal with an active shooter emergency.
According to the event's sign-up page, it has been set up due to the fact that there have "recently been several active shooter incidents around the country."

The event will be led by Dallas Police Sergeant Willie Ford from the Homeland Security and Special Operations Unit. It will take place at 5750 Pineland Drive on May 19th from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.
