Actor Jonathan Majors, a Duncanville High School grad, has been arrested in New York City over the weekend and is charged with assault and harassment in what New York Police describe as a domestic dispute.

An NYPD statement lists strangulation, assault and harassment as potential charges, but in the end Majors was charged with misdemeanors.

In any case, a representative for Majors denied the allegations. But there's already one development from the arrest.

Last week, the US Army launched a recruiting ad campaign featuring Majors narrating as he walks through fictional recreations of real American battles from the Revolutionary War forward. It's the Army's strategy to revive its highly successful "Be All You Can Be" theme from the 1980s and 90s. But with Majors' arrest, the Army is pulling the ads, at least temporarily, saying that "while Majors is innocent until proven guilty, prudence dictates that we pull our ads until the investigation into these allegations is complete."

Majors is seen as a rising star in Hollywood. He has recently appeared in "Creed III" and "Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania."

Majors attended Cedar Hill High School and graduated from Duncanville in 2008.
