Hundreds of thousands of dollars are headed to Addison Airport for safety improvements.
$763,000 in federal funding will be made available for the Federal Aviation Administration to reconstruct 1,800 feet of service road to some of the hangars.
The current non-public road providing access to airport hangars has reached the end of its useful life.
“We are grateful to the FAA for this important investment in Addison Airport,” Addison Airport Director Jaime Edrosa said. “Reconstructing the service road and a Taxilane connector will enhance safety, improve access for tenants and visitors, and ensure our airport continues to serve as a vital gateway for North Texas.”
The money comes from the Texas State Block Grant Program which is supported by the FAA.
