Prolsecutors in Ellis County are adding more charges against the woman who is accused of killing three of her children and seriously injuring two others.
Shamaiya Hall is already in jail for three counts of capital murder after the recent stabbings in Italy. Now prosecutors are adding two more counts of aggravated assault. That now reflects the three children who died and the two others who were stabbed and survived.
The Italy Police Department was called to a home on South Harris Street on Friday March 3rd after a Texas Child Protective Services official attempted to conduct a home visit.
Officers found five critically injured children – a 6-year-old boy and 5-year-old girl and boy (twins) were deceased. A 4-year-old and a 13-month old were found seriously wounded. One of the injured children was transported to Cooks Children's in Fort Worth and the other was transported to Children's Hospital in Dallas.
Hall was taken into custody at that time. She is being held in the Ellis County jail on a $2 million bond.
