In partnership with the SPCA of Texas, NewsRadio 1080 KRLD brings you 'Adoptable Pet Pals,' a weekly feature to introduce you to animals that are ready for adoption.

Meet our featured pet pal: China!

SPCA of TexasSPCA of Texas

Meet China, the 7-year-old mixed breed pup with a happy smile and a passion for serenity! She's a pro at the art of relaxation and nap time is her jam. While China isn't one for rowdy play, she's all about cozying up with her human friends. Leash walks and outdoor potty breaks are her specialties. She even made friends with a rabbit in her foster home! With a big protective bark, China is both a goofball and a guardian. She's a sweet, goofy girl who'll make you feel safe. China's chill demeanor means she'll happily lay beside you while you work or read. She's a pro at using the great outdoors as her bathroom. China is a perfect companion for a lifetime of snuggles and peaceful moments. Just note, she prefers a home without human kiddos under 10, as they can be a bit overwhelming for her. But she's open to making new doggy friends, so feel free to introduce her to your canine companions. Swing by the SPCA of Texas Dallas Animal Care Center at 2400 Lone Star Drive in Dallas any day between 12 noon and 6 pm any day to meet this wonderful girl!

Rosco

Meet Rosco, a precious Terrier mix who tips the scales at a healthy 50 pounds. He may be shy at first, but give him a moment and his heart of gold will shine through.

At two years old, Rosco has plenty of energy and zest for life yet he's a sweet, friendly pup who loves nothing more than to play and cuddle. He's well-behaved and is potty trained, making him a great companion for any home.

His playful nature and loving demeanor make him a joy to be around. Rosco deserves a forever home where he can continue to spread his love and joy.

With patience, he will be great with both two- and four-legged siblings, but it is always best to bring them all to a meet and greet prior to adoption.

Alba

Say hello to Alba, a sweet and mellow three-year-old dog with an independent streak. Despite her shy nature, Alba has a love for treats that is sure to win over anyone's heart.

Alba is a 21-pound female short-coat Chihuahua mix. Currently, she is learning socialization skills and how to trust people. Alba will benefit from a foster home that can provide a nurturing environment. Alba's calm demeanor would be a perfect fit for a household with older children.

She loves other dogs, so it will be great if there is a confident pup already living in the home. Alba would love a secure, fenced yard. She is still working on her leash walking skills and is still using potty pads for training.

She's not just a pet, she's a companion ready to provide unconditional love and loyalty. Foster Alba and experience the joy of a bond that only a pet like her can offer.

Dude

Meet Dude, a 4 1/2-year-old, 73-pound, brindle pup. This Terrier/American Pit Bulldog/Boxer mix's dark eyes are filled with curiosity and a gentle spirit.

He's a mellow guy who loves a good play session just as much as a cuddly afternoon nap. Dude's friendly nature extends to both children and other dogs, making him a perfect addition to any family dynamic. However, with all adoptions, it is best to bring the whole family down for a meet and greet prior to the adoption.

Dude's a lover of treats, which makes training a fun and rewarding experience. But what makes Dude truly special is his sweetness. His heart is full of love that he's eager to share with those around him.

Dude is a loyal companion who is sure to bring joy, laughter and comfort into your home. Adopt Dude, and let his loving nature fill your life with sweetness and light.

Wrangler

Meet Wrangler, a two-year-old, playful, curious, friendly and slightly goofy mixed breed pup.

Weighing in at 68 pounds, Wrangler's a sturdy bundle of joy who enjoys the company of other dogs and older kids. With a curious nature, Wrangler loves to explore her surroundings, sniffing out new adventures at every turn. Her playful spirit ensures there's never a dull moment when Wrangler's around.

Despite her goofy antics, she's also a loving and friendly companion, always ready to offer a wagging tail and a friendly paw. Wrangler would make the perfect addition to any family willing to provide her with the love, care and fun-filled life she deserves.

As with any pet adoption, it is always best to bring any two- and four-legged siblings to a meet and greet before the final adoption.

Wrangler's unique blend of curiosity, playfulness and friendliness makes her the ideal companion for those looking for a loyal and entertaining pet.

Wrangler is housed in the Russell E. Dealey Animal Rescue Center, so an appointment is required to meet her. The easiest way to make an appointment is to find Wrangler's profile at SPCA.org/dogs and click on the "Make an Appointment" button. The SPCA of Texas team will set everything up from there.

Like all pets from the SPCA of Texas, Wrangler has been spayed, microchipped and is current on all her necessary vaccines.

Through Tuesday, October 31st, pull for your adoption fee—ranging from $0 to $25—for adult dogs and adult cats at the SPCA of Texas' Dallas Animal Care Center (2400 Lone Star Dr, 75212) and our Ellis County Animal Care Center (2570 FM Road 878, Waxahachie, TX). These adoptions are sponsored by the Russell E. Dealey Animal Rescue Center.
