As the holiday travel push continues this week, there is a spike in one particular demographic at Love Field.

Hilda Lopez of the Dallas Aviation Department shared that he is seeing more dogs around the city airport than in the past. Service dogs can help in many ways. They can provide comfort, stress relief, and aid in any of the five senses.

While the increase in pets traveling could create a different concern, like finding pet relief stations, they are helping their owners go home for the holidays and hitching on the ride.

The biggest dog Lopez has seen? A golden retriever named Apollo.
