An Allen man is now awaiting sentencing after pleading guilty in a child porn case which began when investigators found a video of a man sexually abusing a baby.
Officials say they got subpoenas and confiscated Shanlin Jin's computer and storage devices. They found nearly 50,000 pornographic photos and videos.
After confirming that more than a thousand of the images were child pornography they stopped counting and charged Lin with the crime.
Lin was a doctoral student at SMU at the time.
