Amazon will open six new delivery stations in the Dallas-Fort Worth area in 2021. They're each expected to create hundreds of new jobs with a starting wage of $15 per hour.

"Arlington is honored to have been selected for one of Amazon's new delivery station. With close proximity to Dallas/Fort Worth Airport and several major interstates, our city is ideally located to help companies like Amazon deliver their products quickly and efficiently across the country," said Arlington Mayor Jeff Williams.

The Arlington delivery station will be located on Centennial Drive. The company is also planning two delivery stations in Fort Worth along with locations in Mansfield, McKinney and Balch Springs.

Amazon ships packages from its fulfillment to its delivery stations, where the packages are actually placed in vehicles for delivery to customers.
