Some people call them leftovers. Others call them 'dinner'. This is an app that means to put an end to wasted food.
It claims that up to 40 percent of the food that's made goes to waste. This lets you buy some of it, at a much lower price. It shows you restaurants and supermarkets that are part of the system. They have leftover food that would be headed for the landfill.
You can place an order through the app, pay for it, and collect it when you get the OK. The app shows you what's available and where, and what price you'd have to pay. It says most of the meals may run you $5, tops. And chances are: the meal you're getting is going to be a surprise.
Too Good To Go is a free app on iTunes and Android. You pay for the meals.
