Just as dozens of Macy's Department stores across the country are closing, a new one opens in Fort Worth.
It's a new concept store, Market by Macy's. The new store is located in the city's University District. It is the second store of its kind in the country.
The first opened last year in Southlake at Town Square. Market is a boutique model. Think Macy's but smaller, offering some of Macy's best selling brands in clothing for men, women and kids....as well has home goods.
Macy's says the scaled down stores offer a different shopping experience. They hope will attract some younger customers.
