The Texas 33 House race in the newly drawn congressional maps has heated up with a major endorsement.
Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is throwing her support behind Congresswoman Julie Johnson who is being challenged by former Congressman Colin Allred in the democratic primary.
"Hey everyone, Congresswoman AOC here," Ocasio-Cortez said opening her social media post. "We can't let the GOP gerrymander one of our strongest fighters out of Congress."
She says Congresswoman Johnson is standing up for the people of Texas.
Johnson said she is honored to have AOC's support.
