ARLINGTON (1080 KRLD) - Dozens of people are displaced in an apartment fire in Arlington.
"We have 30 displaced," says Jonathan Ingols, assistant chief of operations, "15 adults and 15 children."
The fire broke out Friday morning at the Vita at Three60 apartments near SH 360 and Avenue J, and it grew to three alarms.
"It's a third alarm fire, mostly because of the amount of fire there was," says Ingols. "We needed some extra people power to help get the fire under control."
The fire department is working with the apartment complex and the Red Cross in putting those people up in temporary accommodations.
One public safety official suffered minor injuries.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
