If you needed the opioid hydrocodone, prosecutors said you could call on Arlington Doctor Clinton Battle.
Evidence at a recent trial showed many patients didn't need an appointment to see the doctor, or even had to show up. He would write a prescription. And witnesses at the five day trial said you didn't even need cash, a payment of cocaine would do.
In all, the evidence showed Dr. Battle meted-out nearly 70,000 illegal pills.
Many of the prescriptions were written by a nurse practitioner who flipped and testified against the doctor.
Battle will be sentenced in October and could wind up in federal prison for 15-years.
