Arlington firefighters douse flames racing through home on Broadmoor Avenue
By Curt Lewis Dec 22, 2021
An Arlington home is a real mess following yesterday's fire on Broadmoor Avenue near Abram Street.
Fire crews arrived to find heavy smoke billowing from the single-story home and quickly attacked the flames. They needed power equipment to cut through the roof to allow access to the attic where the worst of the fire was burning.
Allowing more of the smoke to vent through the roof also improved conditions for the firefighters working inside. The home was left with heavy damage but no injuries were reported. The cause has not been determined.
