ARLINGTON (1080 KRLD)- A Traffic Alert remains active in Arlington at the scene of an accident that involved an 18-wheeler falling off an overpass Monday.
The ramp that connects the eastbound side of I-20 to the northbound side of 360 will be closed while TxDOT makes repairs following a crash Monday morning.
Arlington police say around 9:30, a crane slid off the back of an 18-wheeler, fell off the overpass, and landed on the grass beneath it. The wall on top of the overpass was damaged and could take some time to repair. The driver of the 18-wheeler was taken to the hospital, but his condition was not immediately available.
Police say drivers will need to find an alternate route to get from eastbound I-20 to northbound 360. The main lanes of I-20 are still open.
