An Arlington police officer and another driver were hospitalized after a crash Friday morning.

The crash happened around 9:50am near the intersection of South Cooper Street and the Eastbound I-20 frontage road.

The crash was serious enough that both the officer in an Arlington Police Department Patrol Tahoe and the driver of the other vehicle were taken to the hospital.

According to Arlington police, the officer was conducting traffic enforcement when noticing a motorcycle making unsafe lane changes.

The officer then turned onto the Eastbound I-20 frontage road colliding with a Toyota Camry traveling north on Cooper.

The officer's vehicle then crashed into a light pole and the Camry went down a nearby embankment.

Both the officer and the driver of the other vehicle have non-life threatening injuries.

Investigators are trying to determine what led up to the crash.
