Arlington police have blamed carbon monoxide poisoning for the weekend deaths of a man and his dog.
Investigators learned the man was visiting friends who did not want the dog in the house, so he kept the animal in his car in the garage.
Reports say he'd go out and sit with the dog while starting up the car to keep themselves warm. He had been opening the garage door to get some ventilation but did not the last time.
Police say both the man and dog died.
