ARLINGTON (1080 KRLD)- Some residents of an apartment complex damaged by last month's tornado in Arlington were allowed to return Thursday to pick up their things. The complex near Pioneer Parkway and Cooper let tenants return for one hour.
"We've already got a new place, so that's not a problem for us now. We are fine, it's just that it's stressful to be moving from one place to another," one woman said as she loaded her car.
The Red Cross says the tornado two nights before Thanksgiving forced 75 families from their home. The National Weather Service says the tornado stayed on the ground five miles and had winds of 115 mile an hour.
Three people had minor injuries, but the tornado did cause any major injuries or deaths.
Tenants returning Thursday said they would rather be making Christmas plans, but they were grateful no one was seriously hurt.
"I had to get a new place, we'll have less Christmas," one man said.
"It's stressful without having any money, but all the same, we'll still celebrate Christmas," the woman loading her car said.
