A man is now locked up in Arlington after an hours-long police standoff that finally ended just past 8 p.m. Monday.
On Monday afternoon, police arrived at a home on Stowe Springs Lane near Highway 360 and Debbie. They were there to arrest a man wanted on assault charges. But the suspect refused to come out and with a barricaded suspect on their hands, officers called in the SWAT team to begin negotiations.
During the impasse, police asked neighbors to shelter in place. Just after 8 p.m. the standoff ended and police gave the neighborhood the all-clear for residents to return.
The name of the male suspect has not yet been released.
