As the nation approaches the 20th anniversary of the September 11th terrorist attacks, Arlington's Veterans Park will be part of a patriotic display beginning this Sunday, September 4th.
The 'Field of Honor' focal point will be the display of 911 American flags on the field honoring the service of all US military veterans, police officers, firefighters and emergency medical personnel, past and present.
Prior to and during the event, flags are available for purchase for $40 online at www.arlingtonFOH.org or at the information booth during the event. Flags can be dedicated in honor or memory of a loved one.
The opening ceremony will be Sunday September 4th at 10 a.m.
Arlington's Veterans Park is on Arkansas Lane near Spanish Trail.
