Armed man arrested in Dallas where he wrecked a stolen car

RICHARDSON (1080 KRLD)- A man's locked up in Dallas County after leading police on a chase out of Richardson that moved into Dallas and ended in West Dallas where the driver crashed his stolen car on Singleton Boulevard.

It all started just before 3 a.m. when a victim reported being carjacked by an armed man in Richardson where police got eyes on the stolen car and tried to pull it over. But the driver just keep going south on Highway 75 toward downtown Dallas with squad cars from Richardson, Dallas and the Dallas County Sheriff's office pursuing.

The driver swerved onto west-bound Woodall Rogers and took the exit onto the Margaret Hunt Hill Bridge, crossing the Trinity and down onto Singleton where he lost control and crashed.
