A man is in a Fort Worth hospital after being shot by police officers Tuesday night.
According to reports, the man's wife called 9-1-1 saying he was suicidal and was threatening himself and her with a gun.
Officers arrived at the home on Wedgworth Road near I-20 and Granbury Road and saw the man sitting on the front porch. He was openly holding the pistol.
They tried to talk him into putting the weapon down but a police statement says "the man presented officers with a deadly threat." That's when three officers opened fire, wounding the man.
The undientified man was taken to a local hospital and is reported to be in stable condition.
