Billy Bob's Concerts
Concerts are finally back at Billy Bob's in Fort Worth. This weekend there are a full slate of performances. On Thursday The Pandhandlers hit the stage. On Friday it's Lone Star. And on Saturday, the Eli Young Band. Billy Bob's reminds you to arrive early, as COVID-19 protocols mean it will take longer than normal to get into the venue.

Cinema Drive-In at The Star: Horror Movies
If you're in the mood for a great horror film, without the worry of the movie theater, Cinema Drive-In offers a chance to catch three movies this weekend. On Thursday night it's Shudder Drive-In Nights: Blood Quantum, on Friday catch Shudder Drive-In Nights: Host, and on Saturday watch Shudder Drive-In Nights: The Mortuary Collection. They're all rated TV-MA...so this one's not for the kids.

Cutting Edge Haunted House
While some haunted houses have chosen not to operate during COVID-19, Cutting Edge is out there doing what they do best...scaring the tar out of people. Cutting Edge has been voted one of the Best Haunted Houses in America and Winner of Guinness World Record for the World's Longest Walk through Horror House. Located in a 100-year-old abandoned meat packing plant in a section of Fort Worth historically dubbed as "Hell's Half Acre," the Cutting Edge Haunted House is built upon a foundation of fear. The meat packing equipment from the Old West is still in use, but now it is a two-story human processing area. You must grab your timed ticket ahead of time.

Dallas Arboretum: Autumn at the Arboretum
Autumn at the Arboretum highlights the nationally-acclaimed Pumpkin Village featuring four 20-foot-tall decorated pumpkin houses and creative displays fashioned from more than 90,000 pumpkins, gourds and squash. With the theme, "The Art of the Pumpkin," the Dallas Arboretum's popular festival features one of "the Best Fall Festivals to Celebrate the Season" by Country Living Magazine. The event opens on September 19 and runs through November 1. Autumn at the Arboretum features breathtaking colors of fall including 150,000 autumn flowers accented by pumpkins, gourds and squash from Floydada, Texas. The festival features the return of the popular Mommy and Me Mondays and Tiny Tot Tuesdays, a hay bale maze, a pumpkin patch with pumpkins for purchase, music and more.

Disney Sing-Along Workshop with Stephen Carlisle
In this highly interactive workshop, Stephen Carlile, who plays Scar in The Lion King on Broadway, will teach you how to sing, Disney on Broadway style! Stephen will also implement fun character voices into the songs. This class is great for elementary-aged children and their families.

Fall Pumpkin Days at Mainstay Farm Park in Cleburne

Haunted Tall Tales at Reunion Tower
The spirit of Halloween can be found at Reunion Tower- or at least the spirits that inhabit the haunted places of Dallas can be found there this October. Leave the weary world below to appreciate the view of some of the most haunted places in Dallas from high in the sky on Cloud Nine at Reunion Tower. Be drawn into the space between the worlds with some of the most unforgettable (g)hosts telling some of the tallest tales about the city they once called their home.
According to Director, Rue Neumann, "Halloween is a traditional time to honor the dead, and this year we are bringing some of those dead back to celebrate." This unique theatrical based event merges the haunted history of Dallas with ghost stories as told by the campfire in a Covid compliant environment.

Las Colinas Day of the Dead Festival
The U.S. Mexico Cultural and Educational Foundation (USMCEF) is partnering with the Toyota Music Factory and Visit Irving to host the Las Colinas Day of the Dead Festival on October 31. The festival will take place at 7 p.m. outdoors on the Texas Lottery Plaza at the Toyota Music Factory. Admission and parking are free. Attendance will be limited to 150 guests, registration is required for entry. The festival will feature live music and a Mexican ofrenda, a flower and candle-laden altar that traditionally commemorates departed loved ones with their favorite food and drink. The Ofrenda will be specially dedicated to community members who lost their lives to COVID-19 this year. Those who cannot attend in person can visit virtually via the Las Colinas Day of the Dead Fest Facebook page.

Perot Museum: Reopened to the Public
The wildly popular Perot Museum of Nature and Science continues Friday, Saturday, and Sunday hours after reopening last month. There are new public-health protocols, ticketing procedures, reduced hours, and 25% occupancy limits. Because of the strict occupancy limits, guests should purchase their tickets online ahead of time for their timed entry into the Perot.

Pumpkin Nights
Explore fantastical lands, built using over 3,000 hand-carved real (and synthetic) pumpkins. Scare in the Park: Cedar Hill
Get your trick or treating done, and never leave the car! Scare in the Park in Cedar Hill features a drive-through trick or treating event. You'll drive through Valley Ridge park, and each vehicle will be given a treat bag from vendors in the park. This is a revised version of their usual "Scare on the Square" event.

Six Flags Over Texas: HALLOWFEST
HALLOWFEST is underway, and runs weekends through November 1. Operating hours will be Fridays from 6:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.; Saturdays from 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.; and Sundays from 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with limited capacity admission to prevent overcrowding.
